BEFORE YOU BOOK
How to book your trip with Drougas Sailing
You can book your cruise directly through our website.
If you are already in Milos, you are welcome to visit our office and book your cruise on the spot.
You can also contact us by email or phone and our team will gladly assist you with your reservation.
When to book?
If you are interested in a specific date or have limited time on the island, it is advisable to book in advance, especially during mid and high season.
Our cruises tend to sell out early from June to September.
How to check availability?
Availability is updated in real time through our online booking system. Simply select your preferred cruise and date to see the available spots.
Which cruise should I choose?
If it is your first time in Milos, we recommend the West Milos & Kleftiko cruise.
If you wish to explore more remote locations and swim in crystal-clear waters, the Round of Milos & Polyaigos cruise is ideal.
For a more exclusive and tailor-made experience, you may choose a private cruise with one of our sailing yachts or catamarans.
What is the difference between your semi-private and private cruises?
Semi-private cruises are small-group experiences with a limited number of guests on board.
Private cruises offer exclusive use of the vessel, a flexible schedule, and a personalized itinerary designed around your preferences.
Is the cruise suitable for people with mobility issues? Which vessel is best in this case?
Our cruises are suitable for most guests; however, please note that access to the restrooms on both sailing yachts and catamarans requires going down a few steps.
Please inform us in advance about any mobility concerns so we can recommend the most suitable vessel and provide proper assistance.
Payment details
To secure any booking, a payment is required. Once the payment is completed successfully, you will receive a confirmation voucher by email within minutes.
If you face any issue during the payment procedure, please contact us and we will resolve it as soon as possible.
AFTER BOOKING
What information is required during and after booking?
According to Greek Authorities regulations, we are required to submit passenger lists before departure.
We will therefore request:
- Full name
- Nationality
- Passport / ID / Driver’s license number
- Date of birth
This information is used strictly for legal and safety purposes.
Is the information I provide secure?
Yes. All personal information is handled securely and used only for operational, legal, and safety requirements related to your cruise.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Safety is always our top priority.
If weather conditions are not ideal, we may modify the itinerary to sail on the protected side of the island and avoid rough seas.
During summer months, strong north winds (known as “Meltemi”) may affect the Cyclades. In such cases, we usually sail along the south side of Milos, which is more sheltered and ideal for cruising and swimming.
Where does the check-in take place and what time should I arrive?
Check-in for all cruises takes place at our main office, Drougas Sailing & Yachting, in Adamas (the main port of Milos).
We kindly ask guests to arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to ensure a smooth boarding process.
What happens if the trip is cancelled?
In case of extremely strong winds or other unforeseen circumstances that make sailing impossible, we may need to cancel the cruise.
We will always inform you as early as possible.
We will first try to reschedule your cruise for another available day. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund.
What is your cancellation policy?
- Cancellations at least 72 hours before departure → Full refund
- Changes at least 72 hours before departure → No extra fee (subject to availability)
- Changes or cancellations 48 hours before departure → 50% charge
- Changes or cancellations 24 hours before departure → 100% charge
If the tour is cancelled by Drougas Sailing due to extreme weather conditions, technical issues, or any other safety-related reason, a full refund will be provided.
